Default Propane buying group?

Is anyone interested in forming a residential buying group for those who heat their home with propane? There may be a possibility of doing better than the current co-op. I'm just seeing if the interest is out there. Send me a private message if you're interested.

They have just completed a contract with Eastern Energy for 2009-2010 that should reduce this years RACK pricing by .90 a gallon.

Based on my home usage I'm expecting to do better than Our Town by about 20 cents per gallon. Rhymes has met or beat them for us the last 6 years and the service has been great.

Lucky,

What did you pay per gallon and what was the usage required for that price?

Last year about 1800 gallons @ $2.30 (we locked into this price we would have done better not locking in). This year will be about $1.56.

Lucky,

Fortunatly I am only using about 750-800 gallons a year. You have me wondering what they could offer me at this level?

George

I have a home a Reading Lane in Moutonboro and buy my propane from AmeriGas. They have alwasy given me the best price and great service from Bob and Charlie who work there. My last delivery was priced at 1.799 which is pretty good. They are open to setting up fixed or rack prices for groups. If someone can find a better price I would be willing to jump in the group but I would like to give AmeriGas a chance to bid since their price is pretty low right now.
