Default Ultimate Bravo 3 bearing carrier removal tool

I am in the process of building a spare Bravo 3 from some old parts I have and had a miserable time trying to remove a VERY stuck bearing carrier from a badly corroded lower gear case. The Mercruiser factory tools were unable to budge the thing.

I made my own ridiculously heavy-duty bearing carrier removal tool that I drive with a 1" square drive impact wrench, and it works great. If anyone here is struggling with a Bravo 3 bearing carrier, PM me., I can likely help you out.

Dave,

I love hearing about all the special tools you've built and acquired!

It almost makes me wish I owned Merc equipment!

Here's a link to some pictures: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...1&l=05ffd43e9b

I used schedule 40 3.5" (4.0" OD x .226" wall thickness) structural steel pipe.

Worked great, but was frightening and crazy loud to use... That impact wrench sounds like a 20 mm anti-aircraft gun.
