One Mill Plaza
Located right next door to City Hall here in Laconia; One Mill Plaza is listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks by the U.S. Department of the Interior. It was built in 1853.

About 75-100 yards away, the city built a very nice kayak/canoe launch ramp on the Winnipesaukee River, down below the Avery Dam. Easy, close-by parking either on the street, or at the nearby parking garage. Winnipesaukee River runs about one mile to Lake Winnisquam from where this photograph was taken, is very clean, and has good fishing.
Excellent quality color photo here!

Hmm.... It's an old brick mill building. Shockingly there are lots of them around these parts.
What significance other than the previously stated makes this a "Historic Landmark"? Answer and yes I looked. Nothing. So why? I don't get it. |
