Default ....signs-o-spring!

Watching the bird feeder from the window indoors, a bright yellow finch style birdie showed up today for the sunflower seeds, and it was looking like one very cold and windy yellow finch! Isn't the yellow finch a first sign of the coming of spring to Waterville Valley; temp 12 degrees, wind speed 20, gusts to 40, right now. Not 'zactly springtime yet?
