Default The Margate Beach Bar

I am really not one to complain about a bad experience at a restaurant, but I feel compelled to take a rip about the Margate beach bar. I was recently there with a friend on a Friday afternoon for lunch & cocktails. The service was beyond bad. We must have sat there for almost a half hour before a waitress approached our table. Here's the thing...I can appreciate a place being short staffed, but this was just insanity.

It's too bad because it's a beautiful spot on the lake.

We went for drinks and appetizers a couple of weeks and ordered the spinach artichoke dip. All it consisted of was a big piece of lettuce with a big spoonful of dip on top of it surrounded by chips. It was so small and hardly worth the price.

I was underwhelmed by the service at the Margate. The food was fine. They have good docks.

A friend went to the Margate on Saturday and they said they would not serve people from the sand bar. Don't know if this was just for the weekend or what? I went to the Margate on a Tuesday a couple of weeks ago and the food was 100X better than Naswa.

I'm sure their liquor license won't let them serve booze to you and then let you leave the restuarant with it. That may be their fear of serving people walking in from the sandbar.

If they won't serve you food, that's seems odd. There's a lot of profit in chicken fingers and nachos.
