Default ...... 918 Weirs Blvd changes?

Driving past 918 Weirs Blvd yesterday, which is a Laconia city waterfront property on Paugus Bay that has a vintage tourist information cabin and a small unpaved, grass and sand parking lot for about twenty cars; I noticed the old information cabin has been raised up and placed on a trailer platform with wheels. This vintage info cabin has not been staffed and has been closed for the past two years or more, maybe because people generally now get their info on the internet, so am thinking that maybe a change of use here is in the works?

Who knows what the h is 'zactly happenin' here?

Anyone know what's the plan, here? Will the info cabin be removed, or is it getting a foundation built underneath, or something? Are there any new plans for doing something new with this city owned waterfront property because it could have a TOTALLY excellent Paugus Bay waterfront with public parking used for a hand carry kayak and stand up paddle board launch area for car roof-rack paddlers.

It's a long, narrow, flat, embankment type of a property with two different sewerage pump utility shacks, one at both ends of the property.

Yo baby ...... who wants to go hit Paugus Bay and do some paddlin' up current, towards that Endicott Rock and beyond, on a late afternoon sup paddle!

Suggest you dial up 918 Weirs Blvd and take a look on google earth for a good view.

Question 918 Weirs Blvd

Ok ...... drove past 918 Weirs Blvd today ..... and the old vintage information cabin is no longer there ...... all that's there are about eight concrete sonotube supports that used to support that old info cabin.

So, what's it gonna be happening with this unused, city, waterfront parcel of land on Paugus Bay that includes high visibility from the road, totally flat space for parking about 20-cars, and Lake Winnipesaukee waterfront ..... which is unused for basically any purpose except for the two septic pump utility shacks at both ends of the flat lot of unused land.

As already mentioned ..... am suggesting a Winnipesaukee access walking path for car roof top launched vessels like kayaks, and sups.

When Matt Lahey was the mayor about ten years ago, a very nice kayak ramp got constructed on the Winnipesaukee River, just below the Avery Dam, and across from Sawyer's Jewelry, built by Piscopo Excavation & Construction who did a totally fabulous construction job ..... such a well designed kayak launch ramp!

If the new mayor has any sense of priorities here, he will get on board with Piscopo and turn this unused piece of city land into a very happening, Winni waterfront access spot ....... at 918 Weirs Blvd! What's needed is a parking area, a walk way that's built for hand carry kayaks and sups to be walked and carried down the embankment to the water, and a dock for paddlers.

Hey LACONIA ....... let's do it!

...... 918 Weirs Blvd on Paugus Bay just beyond Liliuokolani's ice cream.
