Default Hello...

I finally got around to signing up on the forums!

Been summer residents for 25 years (Paugus Bay, and now Black Cat).

Hard to belive I have a picture on my phone I took one year ago this week, no ice...house was clear of snow...not THIS year!

We have a Crownline bowrider at the lake. Dad owns a slip at Channel Marine. We are also ocean boaters, with a Sea Ray on the Mystic River.

If I ever win the lottery, there will be a sea-plane parked at our dock

Hope to learn some good stuff and hope to offer some of my knowledge/experiences of the lake! Great Site!

LOL...I didn't even have to read your post and knew you had a Crownline and a Sea Ray.....Two good choices BTW.
I had a 27 foot Sea Ray. It sank at the dock due to a faulty sea water recirculator on the cooling system on one of the engines. Hmmm if I put all mine together I would be
RaySkiWellmula.

Hey, welcome to the forum....as mentioned, great folk. Always something interesting in one of the many forums.
Problem is you can spend all day on here and not get anything else done.....But then there is probably an App for that.

I figured someone would eventually chime-in on my username

Geez, if I had used all the boats we had ever owned, that would be an interesting one...lets see...

Chris Craft, Century, Windsor Craft......Could get ugly...

It sounds like you might be new to Black Cat too? If so, welcome to the island. I hope we get a chance to meet sometime soon. There are several Black Cat Islanders on this forum, probably more than I'm aware of, but it's always nice to see more.

No, not quite new to the island...maybe 1999-ish? We moved there from the Weirs area. I love it there...so quiet in the morning. We live closer to the bridge.

CrownRay 2 questions

I was at Marina Bay for years with my sportfish but never made it up the river past the locks. Is it tough to do? I'm not on the ocean any more except to trailer my 19' CC.

Also, a friend owned a place on Black Cat near the bridge all the way into the first cove heading out into the lake. Built a new place near 109 in Tuftonboro.

Well, the river (Mystic) is not really that exciting. Only goes inland a few miles, and at some points, its shallow. You would be better off floating up the Charles...much more to see..We are about a half-mile from the locks, those are fun! Boat goes up-Boat goes down

I know the little cove you speak of. Right after the bridge, comming from the Center Harbor side...Our house is pretty much right at the entrance of that, right by the NO WAKE sign (which nobody seems to notice, by the way)
