Dog-friendly places in the Lakes Region

We finally got our dog! YIPPEE! He's a great addition to the family but we're a group who likes to be out-and-about a lot. We love to bring the dog with us (he's a beauty - I'll post a pic later, when I have a chance) and he's very well behaved - even for a corgi!

Can y'all recommend some dog-friendly parks, beaches, campgrounds - whatever you can think of - where we can visit in the area?
