Timberman Triathlon
Great Event!
Good article from todays Citizen http://www.citizen.com/apps/pbcs.dll...078/-1/CITIZEN A few photo's from the event. View from the water about 1/2 hour before the swimmers started. They went out at 7.30 am in heavy wind and rain. These people are unbelievable. 1.2 miles, with the longest leg directly into the wind. We even had Miss Winnipesaukee there helping as a volunteer in the food tent. Check out the bikes in the racks... The people that put this event do a great job, and the hundreds of volunteers work hard to help show off our beatiful lake. The atheletes love coming here for this event from all over the world. i was told a number of times that this event is their favorite because of all the terrific NH people they meet . SteveA

2007 Timberman Triathon
Help!! I need to make some camping reservations for August for some friends. Does anyone out there have the dates for the August Triathlon that is based at Ellaquoya State Park? Would August 11,12 be right or 18,19?? Not that I'm running, those days are over. Appreciate any info on the dates. Thanks.

hockeypuck: It's August 17-19 this coming year. Here's the webpage.
TIMBERMAN TRIATHLON Got stuck in the traffic on Rt. 11 last year as the bikers were peddling into Ellacoya. It is a HUGE event! Couldn't believe all the people!...and all of the organization it must entail. What a great event for the lake! |
