Default WMUR Reporting on parts thefts

Some boats found stripped of parts.
I believe someone on here has a boat they are reporting on.

Does anyone know where the pontoon boat was taken from?

Thieves are the scum of the earth. Hope these people get caught. On a positive note Diamond Shine gets a little advertising! John does great work.

Not very good advertisement for them if they had two boats stolen from their yard, both using their own stolen truck.

No press is bad press. And how is it that D.S. should be looked poorly upon for some scumbags stealing from them. I don't get that logic? If a thief wants something a thief is going to get it... no matter how much protection you put in place.

I would look at the something being wrong with the security of my boat being in their yard- nothing was said about what they did about preventing something else from happening other than something along the lines of "let's hope they don't do it again..." I would call that bad press. With that much high dollar inventory being on their lot, I would assume that the place would be littered with cameras.

Cameras don't prevent though? Take a look around at any of the Marinas. If you were a thief you'd figure out exactly how to get what you wanted regardless of cameras, gates, alarms. A thief is a thief.

Diamond Shine has a great reputation... Their work speaks for itself....

When someone has it in their minds to steal something they are going too.... A professional thief studies their mark and figures out how to get the job done....
Your boat is as safe at Diamond Shine as it is at any of the other marina's around the lake.... or even at your own dock...

The only thing that Diamond Shine may think differently about doing is leaving the Truck hitched to a trailer with a boat on it... In my mind this is what trigged the thefts.. and pulling out of the Diamond Shine lot, in a Diamond Shine Truck, why would anyone near by be suspicious........

Specific boats where targeted, all high performance, for their engines, and drives.... These where pros .... Next year they will move onto another area.... which they will study, and understand the habits, and then strike....

Its always hard to deal with when it hits close to home....

I'm not very familiar with a lot of the marinas around the lake, but have noticed they do not seem to fence in their storage areas.
I trailer my boat up to the lakes, but also down the Cape, so I keep it close to home, at Irwins in Hudson, which has their area fenced.

Would seem to me that would help stop some of it. As said above, if they want it, they will get it, but a fence should slow them down some.

(If they really want to stop them, let a couple of dogs loose at night in there)
