Default Sandwich Fair (10/7-10/9/2017)

Just a reminder that the Sandwich Fair is this weekend (Columbus Day).

While it officially starts Saturday, the Midway and some food vendors open on Friday evening (4PM-9PM) with a one price, all you can ride special- $20, free admission for parents, etc that are not riding.

Hope to see some of you there! My 1944 Farmall H will run in the antique tractor pulls Sat and Sun mornings. Not sure if me or my son will be in the seat

Full schedule can be found here...https://www.thesandwichfair.com/

Default Sandwich Fair

Looks like the antique tractor pull is Saturday morning at 9:00 am. I am most likely attending on Monday. Free admission for military!

Beautiful tractor. Thanks for posting.

Does not appear to be a good thing to do with that antique tractor. My grandfather and uncle had John Deere tractors. Grandpa's tractor had to be started by turning the flywheel, something that at the age of 13 I was unable to do. My uncle had electric starts, much easier. I think he had a B and H at that time. Surely he eventually had Diesel's as he farmed 700 acres
in early 80's. I believe he pulled a pair of 5 bottom plows plus drags. Maybe the B was grandpa's. I have many memories spending summers on the farm.

I am a retired workaholic and continuing aquaholic.

Look for the Shriners' Minikars in the Sunday parade. Love giving "high fives" to kids of all ages.

We will take it easy on the old tractor! It was haying until this year. This one has 6V electric start (no solenoid, giant cable running straight to the pushbutton) but I can crank start or belt start if needed.

Let me know if you want to take her for a spin!
