Default Great Egret

A nice Great Egret, right here in Laconia today. This one was getting continuously dive bombed by a Red-winged Blackbird. I think the Egret was getting too close to the Blackbird's nest.

As always, the photos are excellent!

On a side note, the link in your signature (Airedale1Photography) is not working. I would love to check it out.

Default Great photo

Gee, never seen a Great Egret up here in the north. Your photography is truly breathtaking. Over the holiday, we saw loon parents and chick in Moultonboro, and the chick, after preening, did what we call "the wing thing" ... where they spread their wings, and stretch out their necks after a bath. He was the cutest little guy-becoming a loon!
