Default Bowfin

Are there bowfin in lake Winniesaukee? How do you catch them?
I have not been able to find them on the fish and game site as fresh water species. I did read about 26 years ago there was one caught in Swanzy NH that was 28 inches and it is a state record.

Closest thing I know of would be the cusk or burbot. Never heard of bowfin in Winni...
