Thumbs up Yes it is Snowing, Joining a Club and Registering your Snomobile

1/16/16 UPDATES

Moultonboro Snow report: Snow started falling around 6:00am this morning, has picked up some what now at 8:00am. It looks to be "Wet", not the "FLUFY" stuff the blows away. Early morning forecasts are calling for a possibility of 1"to 6" in our area. If it happens PLEASE let us get out and start "PACKING" it so we can establish a good BASE to work from.

In lite of the delayed launch of the NHSA online Membership Website here is what we are recommending to those looking to Join a Club and Register your Snowmobile.

Moultonboro Snowmobile Club

Snow is here and you want to Ride!

Received from the NHSA on 12/29/15

“This notice is to inform you that the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association (NHSA) will need to delay the availability of online Club Membership sales, but we are hoping we can resolve the issue within the next thirty (30) days.”

If you were waiting to try the NHSA Online Membership Website, you will need to use one of the following alternatives to Join and Register.

1. Mail in your 2015-2016 Application that was mailed out or go to our Website for a copy. We will process them and e-mail you a copy of your NHSA Voucher ASAP. For those who do not have an e-mail address listed with the Club but do have e-mail it would speed the process if you e-mail it to us at winnocturn@roadrunner.com otherwise we will have to mail it out.

2. Go to any one our 3 Membership/Registration Agents where you will find both the Application and a Moultonboro Snowmobile Club Membership Card which can be used in place of a NHSA Voucher. You can join our Club and Register all at once.

Locations:

1.DaSilva Motor Sports (Rt 25/Moultonboro Neck Rd)

2.EM Heath Hardware (Rt 25 Center Harbor)

3.Skelley’s Market (RT 109)

We will try to check the Mail Box more frequently during the next several weeks.

You can e-mail George Higgins if you need assistance at
winnocturn@roadrunner.com

Default Just an inch or so

The storm is gone. Moultonborough got 1, maybe 1.5" of heavy "snowman" snow. Now, it is 40 degrees.

With the reciprocating weekend and limited snow everywhere else, it ought to be very busy in Pittsburg this weekend. Drive safe!

Got back today early. Rode Friday and I gave it a 7 out of 10 up in pittsburg. Base is thin. Best trails snow wise were northeast corner. It snowed Friday night 3 inches and we hit trails by 730 saturday. The morning was good. By afternoon it beat hard. To many sleds and not enough snow. They need a solid 18 inches up there now. By Saturday a lot of trails were tea to coffee brown. Not much to them in some areas. With the warm week coming hard to see some of them staying open.

I just also got back from the "Burg" and I thought trails / corridors were great in the Northeast sections both Friday and Saturday. Yes as usual no matter how much snow you get, the trails around Youngs, etc, etc, were thin especially Saturday.

We did 200 miles in two days and were very happy with the riding! However!... with these warm temps I wouldn't go back until there is some significant snowfall and cold weather....local trails will be beat if not gone...

Hope this helps!

Dan

PS...Thanks to the Pittsburg Ridge Runners for having the only place in the state to get your snowmobiling fix! They really do a great job!

I think I would take your pain for 17 inches of powder now! Although after riding 260 miles this weekend I think I'm a bit more sore than you.
