Exclamation Very Good Chance Of Record Low Tonight

The record low in Laconia is 21 for April 2nd.. tonight (Past midnight) is forecasted to reach somewhere in the 19-22 range. Time will tell. Water in the lake will not be warming up today.

JakeLake, I was just browsing through the forum and noticed that you are fairly new to posting on the forum and glad you have joined us. Have fun and enjoy the Winni Forum while making many new friends.

Just hope that those temps do not become actual temperatures..

Thank you!
My first day, just trying to make sure I spell everything correctly.. running on limited sleep . I maybe over spoke when I said "Very".. but there is a good chance.. The afternoon ran a little warmer than forecasted so we'll have to wait and see what the night brings. Nothing wrong with record temps, much more exciting than just "average".. It will be June soon haha

It could happen. Dew point is now at 5 degrees F. wick ice all over the lake. If the wind goes down, the temp will drop like a rock. Not a bad call!

Smile Welcome!

JakeLake, you've post twice about weather. Are you interested in meteorology?

It's certainly something I keep an eye on daily.. I don't go crazy for it but I certainly appreciate a good storm be it snow or rain. My main interest now is when Ice Out will occur and how the ice reacts to different temperatures, wind patterns, and so on..

Also, from 7:01 - 7:21 AM this morning the temperature was 20.3 according to a personal weather station (KNHWEIRS3) located near The Weirs. I don't know what the NWS has recorded, but thats a new record low temperature in my book..

From what I can see, the official low overnight at the airport was 19 degrees. Good call JakeLake!
