Default Need good Interior Painter

Hello Forum members--

Finally, after 25yrs of renting each summer season, my wife & I have purchased a new condo in Gilford. We're so excited!!

What we need now is to use the fabulous resources of this forum to locate a reputable painting firm who can service in the Gilford area.

Ideally we would like to have the entire condo (6 rooms) redone --walls & ceilings--before moving in and have it accomplished in a day or two timeframe as we would have to commute up ( from MA) to allow access. Thus it would necessitate a firm that can deploy a "crew" as opposed to a " one man" job.

Appreciate your input

Default Sherwin-Williams gave me several recommendations...

I interviewed them all and hired Glen Marcoux at Imperial Painting. He is now "my painter". 603-528-2720

Tell him Gary in Meredith recommended him.

Default Kevin Russell

He does the exterior painting in our homeowners association and his crew is fantastic! He also does interior painting on some of the owners condo and they are very pleased. He also does great plowing in during the winter months.

Default Mike Lemay- Excellent Painter Plus

We have used Michael Lemay, tel 801-3530, for interior and exterior of our entire home and he was great.

We also used him for some wallboard and carpentry.

His is a small operation but he has a helper or two and the proper equipment.

His pricing was very reasonable and he is a good guy to boot.

He is based in Tilton but certainly works around the Lake.

I must re-open this thread to compliment and endorse the services of Kevin Russell !

As this thread began, we bought a new Condo in Gilford and wanted to "refresh" it before moving in....... We took the majority of forum member inputs and contacted Kevin Russell.

First off, within 24 hours he returned our call, within 72 hours he was available to visit and present an estimate ( amazing for contractors these days- at least in MA where we live) and to our amazement he was far beyond " just a painter" !

His crew did an OVER THE TOP job of not only painting our Condo, but also sanded and repoly'd all the doors & associated woodwork along with turning our (approx) 500 sq ft of hardwood flooring into like new condition.

This is in addition to the natural pine "tongue in groove" ceiling on our exterior screened in porch -- which quite frankly looked like hell-- his crews sanded, de-molded and looks like it was just built !

He charges strictly by "man hours" at a quite fair market rate ( at least by MA standards) plus materials-- after the job is completed.

Thank you Forum for this recommendation

I just want to follow up and give Kevin Russell a "shout out" even though after talking with him I know he doesn't even look at Winni. Com

P.s. For Islanders - he has his own pontoon boat and evidently services many of the Islands as well.... When we left him this past weekend his next job was on Rattlesnake
