Thank You Forum
Born in Manchester, about a year ago I joined the forum to get an idea what it's like in the Lakes Region. I initially was interested in renting but a few suggested buying for the same $$$ as renting. After further investigation I landed a great deal and purchased a home in Belmont behind Winnisquam Marine. Moved in a few days ago and getting unpacked and settled in and so far love it here. Love the food, drink & great staff at the Town Docks in Meredith. Thought I 'might' have a job in Laconia but it didn't pan out. No problem though. Everything happens for a reason. Anyway, I don't want to get carried away but just wanted to say 'Thanks' to the members here who helped maked a great decision to move here.

I don't think you will regret the move. I use to be over in that area for many years and loved it. Although it's changed a lot since I owned there. I remember putting my boat in a Sarges, the store that was next to the marina over the bridge, long gone. And that sandbar is the best when you have little kids.

Er...............Sure! Every time I go over Mosquito Bridge and see a hundred or so people on the sandbar, drinking, I look for the bathrooms but they must be hidden from sight! It looks nice but I am not sure I could swim there!

Just remember, the current flows toward the bridge, so make sure you are anchored on the North side of the sandbar. 😎

Thanks everyone for those who have 'chimed in' with favorable comments. It's the first time in years that I have felt at home and surrounded by great people who know how to enjoy life. Living in Cal for so many years was solely for the purpose having my son have a great education and insite to not how to get absorbed in the material world and just enjoy every moment. Hopefully, I did that. Onward and upward. Thanks again everyone to in some small way help contribute to a better life for my son and I.
