Default Look North Tonight

WMUR advises that the the Aurora borealis (the Northern Lights) may be visible tonight between 11:00PM to 3:00AM. 🐻

This event arrived around dawn. Since it's not even fully dark until nearly 10pm at this time of year, that's bad news. Conditions are epic right now and we're missing a great show, but the solar wind's Bz parameter will likely flip sometime this afternoon and then we'll miss out, like seemingly every event in this solar cycle.

We went out in the boat and didn't see anything. Any excuse for a midnight cruise though.

Kept checking until 1:30AM but the clouds stayed overhead. Just wait until next year! 🐻
