Default Ice Conditions

After hearing reports of 9" of ice in Saunders bay, I decided to check the Glendale launch area. I walked out about 25' knowing the water was only 3-4' deep and dug a hole through the ice. it went through quick!! I measured 4" of ice and decided to remove my fat arse off before my feet got wet!

Looks like one more week for me before I check ice again and put out the bob house.

Disclaimer: Always check ice thickness for yourself before venturing out. Never believe anyone including me!!

Tight lines,

Dan

I saw a Chevy Blazer parked next to a Bob house on Alton Bay this afternoon ... brave or dumb ... not sure

Default Morrison Cove

Does anyone know of an easy access point to Morrison Cove in Moultonboro? Or, will Trexler's Marina allow parking so you can access the lake off their property? Thanks!

Has anyone observed any activity on the ice between Rattlesnake Landing and the Island yet?
