Name Taking

Just curious how people feel about a restaurant taking your name and phone number. I was out over the weekend and overheard another table tell the waitress that they wouldn't be back because she asked for this information.

Personally, I think it's wrong to take it out on these businesses. The local restaurants in our area are barely keeping their doors open. I'm sure they have no desire to have to collect this information. If you have a problem with it just don't provide it. Then contact some of our state reps that maybe can do something about it. Don't punish these businesses. It's not fair to them.

I don't want this to be a politically charged post. If it turns into one, I hope the Don will delete this post. I just feel bad for restaurants that are doing the best they can to try to keep their doors open.
