Shouldn't they specify it as not for drinking?

Oh boy, what people will do to make a buck.
I just hope it doesn't have those invasive milfoil spores in it!

Ships from Concord, NH. so they don't even live here apparently. Tell you guys what, for $1.99 I'll take a picture out my window of the lake and send it to you.

Unhappy doesn't hold water

Bottling lake water makes me sad for not easily explained reasons. Too personal to sell? Too cheeky, from people who don't live 'round these parts? Callous? Hmm.

Talking What a Hoot!

RamJet, thanks for posting this E-bay item. What a hoot!
McDude, thanks for posting the article. We just love our press.

How many of us will be looking around now for interesting items like this to sell? Personally, I think this auctioneer should have posted a photo of the bottle, not just any one will do.

Default Selling Lake Winnpesaukee water?

I believe a quote from Mr Barnam would be appropriate: "there's a sucker born every minute" .

I can remember a guy on eBay getting $250 for an old LL Bean flannel shirt. His claims were that he never failed to **** when he was wearing his "Lucky Flannel Shirt" but he was getting married and the future wife ordered him to dispose of the shirt. He wanted to pass his good fortune on to another person so he was selling it....as opposed to donating it to Good Will. Have also seen stuff like a potato chip shaped like Lincoln's silouette, a sandwich scrap off the plate of a movie star at a restaurant, someone was even selling pieces of the Old Man in the Mountain when it fell a few years ago. I think the next time I go out on the lake I'll take a couple of gallon jugs, a shovel and a sand pail. Not to mention what I could find snorkling at the Witches. WOW!! I may be able to afford a new boat in the spring. Watch for my upcoming ads on eBay!!! hahaha!

Default Auction ended

An eBayer named jp75023 was the auction winner and paid $7.50 for something in a bottle.

Not all of us are able to be at the lake as often as we would like. Living in Texas it's hard to get to the lake every weekend. Yes I purchased the bottled lake water as a Christmas gift to my 9 year old nephew who lives in Fort Worth Texas and loves the lake. He has one corner of his room devoted to memorabilia of the lake and I knew this would be one of his most favorite presents. Hope this doesn't sound too harsh, however, everyone has their reason for purchasing items.

Now we can't blame the damn operator for letting to much water out and making the water level so low. People are actually bottleing it up and selling it........oh well, one way to get rid of duck itch.
