Default Wireless Irrigation Control

In the spirit of "I can't focus at work, I want to start the long weekend" I was looking at my webcam and noticed a goose sunbathing on my lawn. Then the thought came to me if I could turn on my sprinkler system using the Internet of Things then maybe I could scoot him/her off to someplace else.

Anybody have any recommendations? I use a few Insteon products at home but it appears their irrigation controller is no longer sold.

Thanks.

You could do this with an Insteon relay module setup to essentially manually engage a zone or two.

I just received a new irrigation controller that I have to wire up, but it would also let you do what you want:

I haven't actually used this one yet, but I have some other Control By Web gear that I've been very happy with.

Either of these allow for remote, internet, control.

Or you could get rid of the geese by getting rid of the lawn (sorry, couldn't resist)
