How do I perform a Forum Search for an exact phrase of several words?

If you're finding the Forum Search feature a bit balky, try using Google. Just add the word "winnipesaukee" (not "winni"), and it should appear within the first three hits.

Your recollection of the exact phrase is not necessary. Google will successfully search entire sentences!

I don't know that you can. I couldn't find a way, using what you want in quotes (ie : "exact phrase") which often works at other sites, didn't work. I tried all other manner of operators but didn't find one that yeilded only posts with the phraseology desired. I did find that using the 2 aforementioned words (exact phrase) yeilded only 3 posts, all of which had both the words exact and phrase in them (of course one of which was your question). Adding Zamboni to the group reduced the returned posts to 1. So while you may not be able to get the search function to find the exact phrasing you wish, you can reduce the number of returned posts/threads by using more words. It does seem to make sure all the words you enter are present in the returned post(s).
