Default Thurston's Rental Boats

I remember as a young adult, (maybe late 80's early 90's) boating around the lake, that Thurston's rented boats out (they may still, haven't been down that area lately) to customers. I remember these yellow plates that used to hang on the side of the boat, on both sides. It had the Thurston's logo and phone number. Floating past the marina, it was obvious that these were their "rental" boats.

Anyway, I remember one boat, I think it was a Fountain or Cigarette or something like it, that had one of those plates on it. My Dad told me once that someone owned that boat, and was poking fun at the little rentals.

Anyone have anything on this??
