Found this link. I'll be there, as well as at the Weirs for the Rumble.

Pictures from the show Saturday. Weather was iffy, so the turnout was light, but the cars that did make it were very nice:

Default Car show confilcts

The Weirs car show was friday night after a five year absent. Most of the participant were undecided as to whether they were going to meredith or Belmont, many said they were going home as the weather was iffy.

It looks like it was bad timing.

Yep. Not to mention that Sunday was the monthly Amherst swap meet and the Nostalgia Drags were at New England Dragway. Too many events at the same time.

On a related topic...no show at the Nick this year? I've only seen the British car event advertised (for this upcoming Saturday) but not the all-makes one.

Default Nicks in Natick?

Just wondering if I am on the same base. I haven't been there in a while. I miss taking the trip down there since I left the Mopar club.

Nope. The Nick is the sports field in Wolfeboro across the street from the Allen A motel. Last year there were two shows, the BCNH one, and an all-makes one that was sponsored by MurDawg customs and the Mill St. Meat Market. This year...just BCNH.

Here's pictures from last year's all-makes show at The Nick: http://www.bracketracer.com/NickCarShow2011/index.htm

I didn't bring my car (it was down in MA and I was on vacation at the lake), but I went to the Friday at the Weirs. There were some great cars there, but it was a little unorganized. Some were in the beach parking, others were scattered along the boardwalk.
Then I went to the antique boat show and car show. I'd say there were at tops 15 cars there. I heard some talking about heading over to the fairgrounds after showing up. There were some nice cars there too. There was a Crosby which I have never seen or heard of before. Great little car.

On a business trip yesterday I stopped at the Quechee Gorge Village on U.S. Route 4, Quechee, VT. While I was on the Gorge bridge I took these pictures of some custom cars going across it. They must be headed for a car show somewhere north of the bridge. I like the green custom Ford pickup.

That Green 40 Ford PU was built in a garage in Hampstead, NH by a handicapped individual. It sits on a Chevy Dually frame and suspension. The pick up body was narrowed to fit between the dually wheels but they were able to keep the original Ford logo on the tail gate. Unfortunately the man who built it died in a fall on some ice at a local dealership shortly after the truck was finished. His casket was painted the same color as the truck and it was his hearse for his wake and funeral. I know the daughter and the former son-in-law who provided the engine for this work of art.

Back in the Fifties when I was a kid, almost no one that had a rod, ever got it finished. The Paint Job of the Day was what we callled Gray Prime.. or Flat Black. The money went into the engine and drive train..NOT paint.

You didn't want Your car to be labeled "All Show & No Go".

Then again..in those days we had Street Drags. Some of those gray prime street rods could do the Quarter in 11 seconds... right out of Stewarts Drive In on four lane NJ State Route 17.

Then came the '65 427.. 425 HP Corvette..Quarter mile in the Mid Elevens with street tires, and a finished paint job right out of the factory. Just Rememberin'. NB
