Default Stray sheep near downtown Wolfeboro!

We had a stray, slightly bedraggled-looking sheep pass through our driveway this AM (near Lakeview Cemetery in Wolfeboro)!
We called & reported it to Wolfeboro PD. They said it's been on the loose for a day or so. We hope s/he makes it home safely! There are lots of predatory critters out & about at night this time of year.

Default TWO escaped sheep, and Contact info for owner

I haven't heard about escaped cows, but the owner of the sheep stopped by our house late yesterday (Friday) afternoon to say that TWO of her sheep are on the lamb, so to speak: a large cream-colored one ("the ringleader") and a smaller brown, shaggy one. As of this morning, they have now spent 2 nights outside. They escaped from their new home on Filter Bed Road, and have been seen wandering through the woods between Varney Road and Lakeview Drive. If you see them, call Kristen @ 569-0583. She said you might be able to coax them to stay put if they hear the sound of putting cereal in a bowl. Coyotes are the biggest concern.

Default Update - sheep still AWOL as of Monday AM (May 11)

The sheep owner was canvassing the neighborhood last Friday afternoon. There were TWO sheep that escaped from their new home on Filter Bed Road last week. The small, brown one was caught and returned. But the larger, cream-colored one is apparently quite wild, and is still "on the lamb" as of this morning (Monday). It appeared in our yard again this morning, but bolted into the wooded area between Lakeview drive and Varney Road when I got within 50 yards of it with a bowl of dry cat food. If you can help, please contact the owner, Kristen, at 569-0583.

You have to be careful what you post - McDude probably has a post card to back it up.

Hopefully Men From Maine don't stumble across the sheep before the owner does. Hmmm guess you got to be familiar with a Boston radio station...
