Cool Upcoming Events for the Next 7 Day(s)

Just wanted to point out a great new forum feature for upcoming events. If you scroll down to the bottom of the main forum page, there is an Upcoming Events for the Next 7 Day(s) category. Thanks Don! I think it will be a very handy tool.

Does anyone know if the antique steamboats will be holding their parade this year in Lee's Mills / Green's Basin. I think it's usualy held the Sunday following the Labor Day weekend.

I did not see anything about it while checking area event calendars on several different sites. If you find information, let us know. Sounds pretty cool!

Hey RG,

I will. Have gone the past few years. There are usually around 50 antique steamboats that parade through Lees Mills and Greens Basin, blowing their steamwhistles. Usually starts around 9am. Some of the passengers are wearing the period outfits worn by people during the era of the steamboat.
( 1880 - 1930 ).

Default A sight?

Are these steamboats really a site to see? I'm curious, any pics?

check out thread http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/...=7951#post7951
titled steamboat rally some pictures are on there.
The parade will be starting from the bay in front of Lees Mills at 10:00 (time is flexible) on Sunday Sept. 19th. They travel into Green's Basin and then over toward States Landing and back to Lees Mills.
Come by boat to view the parade or by car to get up close and personal with the boats and owners.
There is virtually zero boat parking available at Lees Mills as everything is taken for the steamboats.
They will be plenty to see Friday and Saturday as well.
Many different styles and variations of boats. Last weeks free magazine "the Laker" (or something like that) had an article about them.
