Default Wolfeboro...where to go

Have a real "foodie" joining me for dinner tonight. Would like to stay in Wolfeboro, don't need to spend $$$$ and it might be ok to have it a bit romantic...

Your choices are limited - for the "foodie" I would go with East of Suez

Mis en Place (small and intimate but not private), or The Restaurant 03894 (but I wouldn't put it in the romantic category). I might take a run at the Mexican restaurant for a little change-up (although I've never been).
The Cider Press is ok, not gourmet, but food with good workmanship.

Sorry, that's about it : )

If you would like to try something a little different I think you might enjoy East of Suez. They sell soft drinks but if you enjoy an adult beverage with your dinner it's BYOB.

We tried going there last year about this time and they didn't appear to be open; we can never figure out when they ARE open! Yes, we did call first and their message mentioned something about being closed for Christmas. Seemed a bit out of date..........

They are just open in the summer and only in the evening.
