Default Where to go for fried clams???

Most of the places I usually go to for fried clams are closed for the season. Any suggestions as close to Meredith as possible? Hopefully open during the week...

Thanks in advance...

I'm wondering if Kevin still has the All You Can Eat fried clams on Friday night....at Rossi's on Rte 104. You might not be able to make it past the 1st serving if he does. HUGE portion.

Brickfront on Church Street in Laconia has very good fried clams. Usually a special on Friday nights. You can ask for an apetizer portion if you're not interested in the dinner portion.

Village Pizza in Bristol, Rt. 3A just north of town has great fried clams. Three portion items, clam roll, clam basket (more than I can eat) and the full clam dinner. Always cooked to perfection. They serve other seafood items as will. Certainly not just a place to get pizza, although their pizza is excellent also.

If you are talking about Johnson's in New Durham, that would be on Rte 11. Not particularly close to Meredith.

Not aware of a Johnson's restaurant on Rte 28.

Default clams

Take a ride down Rt.106. It's on the line between Loudon and Concord. The place is called Makris. The largest helping of fried clams I have ever seen. Two of us could not finish them! The plate was $30.00 but well worth it, clams were cooked perfectly.

Agree on Makris, very good seafood.

Driving by the Union Diner in Laconia this morning I happened to notice a sign by the street advertising whole belly clams. Never ate there so I have no opinion of the place.

The Union Diner is where Friends Don't Let Friends eat bad food, and has a Four Star Rating, so I think it's safe to try, Slick...

We don't always carry clams off season at the Village Kitchen but have some nice Maine whole belly clams coming in Friday for the weekend.

Default AYCE Fried Clams - Water Street Cafe

The Water Street Cafe in Laconia has AYCE fried clams on Friday nights. We have been there a couple of times...good food, reasonable prices.

Yes, everyone can still get your fried clam fix everyday, except Monday and Tuesday. Also Friday night is now AYCE fry clam night. I also would like to say that chef Kevin will be limited to Thursday night this summer since he will now be the chef of the Mount Washington boat in Weirs beach. And yes he had added his famous crab cakes and chowder to the boat menu. Sorry about fried clams, since we do not have a Fryer on the boat.. But check out the dinner cruises this summer, the food will be fantastic!!
