Default Happy Birthday America! 235 and counting!

Quote:

......And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Quote:

Lives, fortunes, honor Of those 56 who signed the Declaration of Independence, nine died of wounds or hardships during the war. Five were captured and imprisoned, in each case with brutal treatment. Several lost wives, sons or entire families. One lost his 13 children. Two wives were brutally treated. All were at one time or another the victims of manhunts and driven from their homes. Twelve signers had their homes completely burned. Seventeen lost everything they owned. Yet not one defected or went back on his pledged word. Their honor, and the nation they sacrificed so much to create is still intact.

Hope everyone has a safe, enjoyable weekend and a memorable 4th of July!

Happy Independence Day everyone. Fly your Flag proudly today. Be nice to everyone, and certainly as mentioned drive safely, and as I like to say, keep your head in the game. Lots of visitors up here who don't know their way around and are looking everywhere, instead of the road. Happened to me yesterday. Good thing I was watching.....

Have a great day and Please, please, remember our troops who are out there defending our freedoms, instead of being home with their families and loved ones today...

Default Midnight at The Weirs

The wife and I actually made it past midnight to take in The Weirs fireworks. Interesting crowd. The image is a composite/HDRI combo. My Photoshop skills are not that great so the layer blending leaves a lot to be desired.

Happy 4th.
