Local Marinas
try calling the local marinas to see if they are open. Most do registrations. If you can find one open on a Sunday this time of year, you may be in luck.

You know you save five dollars off the town clerk, or boat marina price of a NH boat registration when you go to the boat registration window at the NH Marine Patrol HQ down at the Glendale town docks in Gilford, because the Marine Patrol does not charge the five dollar service fee like the other places do. It is staffed six days/week too.
Plus, the best thing is that while you are there at the Glendale docks, there's usually something interesting to see like all 16 different MP police cruiser boats tied up at the docks or what-knot oldie private boats that have been in private user's use for the last 40 years or something. Some old Starcraft w/ a Johnson seahorse motor or sum-tin left ovah from the sum-ah!

Maybe for Gilford residents...
...but to drive 20-25 miles or more to get to Glendale, between the gas and your time, the $5 savings just went out the window. Not to mention, you are not supporting your local business (marina).
If you simply want to save money, send the check and pay 44 cents (be quick).

I just renew my registration at the state of NH Department of Safety when I travel down to Concord. I never have to wait.
