Default Italian Farmhouse

Thinking about eating here since I have to go to Plymouth.
Tried to find reviews. Is this a good place for dinner.

Thanks Dave M

Very good. The bread table is addicting. Be careful not to eat too much before your meal shows up.

Default Italian Farm House

Of all the Common Man restaurants, the Italian Farm House and the original Ashland restaurant are our favorites. It is very good, and like Biggd said, be careful of eating too much bread! Good luck!

Italian Farmhouse is one of our favorites and we think that Eric Johnson does an outstanding job as manager. The veal dishes are good and the shrimp plates are excellent. Look for the whole wheat bread since it is very good.

Only been once, but it was everything people said it was. I wish it were closer.

I was there Labor Day weekend. We sat out side and had a great meal but the one child of the family sitting next to us found something in their dish that they weren't happy about. The manager quickly took over, brought him another meal and gave all the kids T-shirts. It happens to the best of restaurants. It's how you handle the situation that keeps people coming back.

My daughter lives in Campton and I love having dinner there when we visit. Food is delicious.

Went to Italian Farmhouse for the first time last night. Great atmosphere and good food. I had the veal and prosciutto over penne oil and garlic. Beal cooked perfect and tender and the prosciutto was not too salty with nice al Dante pasta. I will definitely was back.

The bread bar is to die for. I'm usually filled up before my meal comes.

I was very careful last night, bread is my absolute downfall. I had just one piece with cheese and basil infused olive oil. It was delicious

Have to chuckle since the original question was posted September 2018 so Dave M has come and gone a while ago.

We also enjoy the Italian Farmhouse. It's a reliably good meal.

We had been up to northern Vermont for the day and were passing through Plymouth at dinner time. Had never been to the Italian Farmhouse but always wanted to. We were not disappointed! Our drinks and our meals were out of this world!! Now we are looking forward to going back with friends!!

Finally got back to the Italian Farmhouse last night after having to find a replacement in August when they lost power during a hot day.

Though the service was slow—given that the smaller areas were all filled first and served by singular servers, it appears they may be suffering from the same lack of help many other establishments are—the food was great and, for maybe the only time I'll say it about Common Man restaurants, a good value. The kids' pasta dishes with a drink were $5, $7 with a giant meatball, and my wife's chicken alfredo was ridiculous sized at $18. I even asked for a chicken/veal parm combo and was charged $20 for a nice-sized plate.

This is one of a few restaurants I wish was closer to camp.

PS A note on the service speed: there was a wedding taking place out back in the tent (gorgeous night for it, if it was heated!), so we were patient with the service because, even though we assume they were having it catered separately or that the restaurant has separate facilities, the staff shortage may have spilled over. We were supposed, though, that they weren't in the barn...though now that I think about it, perhaps there were two other events since there were a ton of cars AND a trolley. In either case, not enough of an issue to ruin the experience and/or not go back.

Default Yelp

Yelp has about 145 reviews and it gets 4 stars , very good reviews on the food .

We have been several times and it’s always great food, can get very crowded during season but that’s not a problem right now

We love the Italian Farm House. One of our favorites.
My wife tries to go glucose free and they will bake here a special loaf of bread that is glucose free. Her absolute favorite.

We usually go 4-5 times a (non COVID) season.

Lately we keep going to Rossi’s (take out) to hit that Italian food taste bud.
Their marinara sauce is a little better, we buy 2 quarts every time we go.
In fact, we got it last night.

Tiramisu is really good at both places.

Atmosphere at Italian Farm House is one of the best.
Outside on a hot summer evening doesn’t get any better.
