Bobhouses
I live on Paugus Bay,and I have noticed that this weekend's warm temps have melted the top layer of the ice into slush, and I'm writing to tell the owners of the bobhouse I still see out there, they ought to remove them before they get frozen into the slush when it gets cold again.I'd say elevate them with wood, but then the wood gets frozen in and then when the ice melts, the wood litters the lake, potentially ruining the hulls of boats. Please consider this. It's supposed to be on the mild side all this week, and once that ice starts getting puddles like that,it's time to take the bobhouses out, cause the ice has started to melt,it will melt fast now that the sun is hotter and higher.Even though the water may never re-freeze solid, debris could still get frozen into the ice.

If a bob house is left out on the ice and falls through, is there a fine somewhat like a motor vehicle fine if you fall through?
Has that happened? |

yes there is a fine if they have to fish anything out of the water which fell through. I think cars though, it costs up to $4,000 to get it out, plus any fines.

?
If a bob house were to fall through (due to not being removed in a timely manner) how would they know who to fine? I've always wondered this.

I may be wrong but I thought they could be removed if they were not ID'd.
