Mega Ski Resort?
Seems like Les Otten of American Ski Co. fame wants to build a resort that will rival Killington in VT. It will be built next to the Balsam's. According to this report the Balsam's was already reduced to half its size and the original double chair was auctioned off.

Yeah, right
I don't see how they will be successful. The old Wilderness mountain was nice, but way to far to get to. The more mega, the more crowds required to pay for the investment. Destination tourism in cold-cold-really-cold northern NH just doesn't make sense and day trippers will be few and far between.

The Canyons
People said the same thing about the Canyons. Way too remote for the crowd. They built it and the crowd did come.
http://www.canyonsresort.com/#&panel...d=PPC301708904 The original developers did go bankrupt, but that did not stop further development.
