Default Can you hear Meadowbrook from the water?

I'm hoping that I can listen to the Toby Keith concert from boat this weekend.. Has anyone anchored near Silver Sands to listen to a Meadowbrook concert? Can you hear it well?

Default All depends on the wind . . .

We live on Varney Point/Smith Cove and the far end and can sometimes hear the sounds of the concert. The sound system doesn't project towards the lake so I assume you'll hear the same muffled thing from SS.

Let us know.

Our boat is at Mountain View, you can hear the noise and maybe bits and pieces of lyrics but not very well.

I am seeing Toby Keith at Meadowbrook this weekend. I saw him at the same venue a couple of years ago and he was fantastic.

I may have any extra ticket. PM if your interested.

Thank you all for the responses. I have a slip at Fay's but I am hopeful that I can anchor in the cove just north of Silver Sands to hear part of the concert Saturday.

Highly doubtful you will hear much other than the crowd cheering ....

Depends on the wind. The stage faces away from the lake so the sound will do the same but a wind out of the south you may get some spotty faded Toby.

Default Toby

I am surely looking forward to the Toby Keith concert tonight: this will be his third concert for me: twice at Meadowbrook and once in Hartford.

So just to follow-up, the answer was no we couldn't hear the concert. It would definitely be fun if you could hear meadowbrook from the water.

...but not for those who live between Meadowbrook and the lake. If you could hear it on the lake, I would guess that even with all windows and doors closed, residents in their houses would also be forced to enjoy the concerts.

FWIW, I do not live in that area, just my humble opinion.
