Default Canvas damage...Bees!

So instead of putting my canvas in the boat two years ago while it was worked on, I hung them on the side of my shed under the overhang of the roof. thinking this would keep most of the sun and rain off them. Well, the boat never got in last year. I went to pull the canvas down and out this year and low and behold.....Holes in the canvas. I opened them up to find a huge bees nest inside. they ate right through the fabric. So as that when you unrolled the canvas there was a hole every 12" or so. Like they were making paper dolls.

Can this be fixed? Or am I looking at $2000 worth of new canvas?

I'm sure you can patch each hole. The question is, do you want to look at those series of holes from now on?
