Default Bridge

I just read two articles about a bridge spanning the broads from Gilford to Tuftonboro. It's going to be 5 miles long and 80' high. $1.3 billion paid for by the towns around the lake, and foreign investors. Is this a real thing. I'm hoping the person that sent me the articles is just trying to get a rise out of me. Say it's not so.

Default Exit ramp

NHFISH Good question for first post. Welcome to the Forum. I'm from Welch Island and I'm trying to get other Welchers to invest $200MM for an off ramp so we could have island access year round.

Yes, the bridge WILL be built.

The powers that be are hiring homeless around the country and forming "press gangs" to work and build the bridge. While working they'll stay at the former state school and when they're done they'll live in tents throughout the area.

Yes we are already looking into closing in under the cottage with heated plumbing so we can have year round water.

I've been designated the official toll collector, let me know if you would like to buy season passes at pre construction prices.

I think you're all mistaken. The State has decided that an underwater tunnel under the lake would be better and not alter any existing view........
