Once, while unsuccessfully searching for a neighbor's "lost and shy dog", I managed to tangle my feet in a borrowed bicycle's pedals and slowly fell down to the roadway. The "lost" dog immediately ran out of the shrubbery to lick my face!

From the ground, I scratched her ears, and held onto her collar until the owner walked up, having noticed my situation.

Yes, I'm suggesting the finder lie down on the ground when confronted with a "lost and shy dog" situation.

Default still lost

Unfortunately she is still missing. This dog is also deaf and blind so it makes finding her even more difficult. The family has not given up and are still looking for her. If you have any free time and would like to help call the number earlier in thread. Prayers and loving thoughts to her owners.

Default not too far

The found her stuck in some really thick brush down by the water at the old farm on 109. She has a wound on her back end but has been to the vet and she will be fine!

She wasn't too far from home.

Great, they are so lucky to find her. I had a dog who was deaf and had both eyes removed because of glaucoma and it was like having a baby to watch every second. I am glad she is ok.

First, great news on finding the dog.I got to wonder though how a deaf and blind dog is put in a situation to get lost outside.
