Default Spectrum internet service?

I've seen the ads for Spectrum, a cable/phone/internet carrier advertising low prices, no contract, etc. Ironically, there's no website listed on the ad, and when I went to their website, there's no service listed for NH. Has anyone called them or looked into this? Just curious.

Spectrum Broadband (cable), formerly named Time Warner Cable competes locally with Atlantic Broadband (cable), formerly Metrocast Cable. Some towns have Spectrum, some towns have Atlantic, probably no towns have both Atlantic and Spectrum. Both Spectrum and Atlantic have excellent tv and internet quality ..... what you can get depends on your town: Spectrum or Atlantic, and both are very similar so it don't really make no difference.

For very low priced internet, there's always your local public free library which also has books, newspapers, magazines, and bathrooms with safe, treated town water.

I recently switched to Spectrum line up from Time Warner(yes they are different) and the monthly shut down fee increased a lot. Was $5 a month and is now about $20. fwiw

Please clarify...are you saying that there is a choice between the two? I thought Spectrum bought TW and superseded it. . I now have Spectrum and their monthly shutdown is indeed increased. I was not given a choice between the two..it seemed there was no choice.

Thank you.

Spectrum did in fact acquire Time Warner. We use it year round so cannot comment on the fee for Winter shut down.

Not at the Lake but at my ski house in Franconia.Last year I called TW to ask about getting channels like the Olympic and NBCSN to watch the winter Olympics.I had Time Warner and knew Spectrum bought TW because my bill was from Spectrum.I was told those were not available except on the Spectrum "platform".Didnt know there was a difference. They switched me over to the "Spectrum platform" which had many more channels and the ones I wanted. What I thought was weird was they said if we change you over you can't go back.Whatever.I'm guessing thats how they will get everybody over to the "Spectrum" lineup.

Default digital boxes

On a similar subject, I received a recorded telephone call today from Spectrum. It said that Spectrum was updating their system and digital converter boxes will be required on all TV's. I have had this happen to me on a different cable company and had to pay an additional $2.00/mo. per TV for each converter. The recording stated that a letter would follow. Has anyone else received a similar recording or a letter yet?

Default Spectrum site

Hi

in the interest of answering your original question please go to this site and you can look at the services offered by zip code. Then you can look at the packages. If you want a triple-play it is phone, TV and Internet, but most folks go for the double-play with just Internet and TV. You have many packages to choose from and the first year is pretty reasonable - they will only charge you about $80 a month for a double-play. After that it will be more like $145 a month or more if you want the "full Monte" kind of stuff. Good luck
