Default Lower end rebuild

I have a 2007 mercury 25hp 4stroke I need to get the lower end either rebuilt or get a replacement. I have been looking for a rebuilt one everywhere and I cannot find. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Try Wholesale Marine. They sell a complete lower bottom end for about $900.

thank you and have ripped apart the web for it, apparently it is a unicorn of sorts and places I call wont touch the ones that small because it ones that small need a whole different set of tools?

the mercury part number for a complete unit is 8M0070900

I have found them for $1450-$1800 online but i just cant wrap my head around a unit being half that cost or so for a much bigger motor

apparently they were known for the seals failing and creating the failure, the part number above is the replacement for the original with the original seals

That's a real bummer. I'd try taking it apart and see what's really broken. Might not need that many special tools to fix it. They aren't terribly complicated.
