Default Bucky's

Took advantage of the nice day Saturday and drove up to the lakes region for the day. Finally stopped in at Bucky's on rte 109 to eat, that is after drive by about a hundred times in the past. Got the 1/2 rack of ribs and they were very good. My wife liked her meal also. Their a pub/restaurant and not a five star establishment but they do have good food for the money. They do not give anything away but you will pay basically what most places will charge you. I'd certanly go again.

The ribs are awesome there - better than that pig roast place up in Ossipee. The food has actually gotten better at Buckys over the past few years. It has always been good but when I went in Feb it was superb. A real diamond in the rough. My friend even picked up a hot 40 something babe at the bar - Buckys has it all.

Actually I think this chick was a lot closer to 50 but really smokin'. She had two friends with her but I had my 11 year old son with me so had to Heisman that!

I liked the Ribs although they could tone down the sauce a little. I love spicy but my mouth was burning after the 1/2 rack.

Epic! By far the best resturant plug on the forum.

We have eaten at Bucky's many times over the years. However, I never got the baked Manicotte (sp?) so I tried it and it was very good. I was actually kind of surprised....

The "over the years" comment caught me by surprise and I had to laugh . . didn't know I was that old. I have eaten at three different establishments in that location but have not tried "Bucky's" yet. Looks like that has been an oversight on my part judging by this thread which I endeavor to fix, and quickly!

Default A Favorite

Buckey's is a great place. Real good food at reasonable prices. The staff is great- friendly and efficient.

They have a nice HD equipped bar with a comfortable atmosphere (subjective- I would likely be considered a regular). The bartenders are perfect- they know your name, know what you drink and have it ready as you walk in.

They also have a pool table and dart boards if that is your pleasure.

Default From the other side of the pond.

Bucky's is a hike from Gilford/Alton. Wish there was a dock and shuttle service like Canoe. It's a lot faster and more fun by boat.
