Lake access
Where are folks getting on the ice by snowmobile around Meredith Neck? I’m hearing the usual spot at Shep Brown’s isn’t safe due to aquatherm activity. How about over at Glendale. Are people accessing the lake there?
Worst case I can get on the ice near Cattle Landing on foot but I’d rather be riding. Thanks! |

Why not get on the lake in Meredith by Lago or the boat ramp? Plenty of ice.

You can still get on near Sheps, just not in the usual spot by the docks.... if you get down where you'd normally get on, look left and walk about 100 yards down the shore road just to the other side of the brown house, you can get on there and you can see everyone is going that way right now. I've never used this spot before but I assume it's not a problem with the owner.
I don't know how well that ice will hold once the warmer temps hit this weekend. I am betting this may be the last time getting on there. You can get on at Levitt Beach but that is about 3 miles up the lake from Sheps and tends to be crowded with fisherman. |
