Default Meredith Fire

Sounds like there's a massive fire at Meredith Marina or the general vicinity. Just a heads up to anyone around or who could be interested. I hope I'm wrong, but on the phone with my parents now who are driving by. Hope everyone is safe.

Wow. I’m near the Weirs, I heard the boom and looked around but didn’t see anything. I hope there are no injuries

Just looking at some videos on the I boat Facebook page, and it's really bad.

...delurking to say that we live just up the hill from the marina and felt our whole house shake with the series of three explosions. Just terrible.

Anyone know how many boats were destroyed? What a shame.

Looks like it was the service building and restrooms. Glad to hear the Meredith Marina family is safe.

Went by around 6:30 and there were still a few flames and a lot of smoke. Looked like just the shell of the building left. Fire trucks lined the entire street in front of subcrazy.

This is horrible. I gotta think it's the worst possible timing—activity increasing as we get within a few months of boating, max boat storage time, Covid stuff, cold weather, not enough time to repair before the season, etc.

I'm glad nobody was hurt, but this is just terrible for the marina. I wish them the very best in recovering.

Not to mention the fact that everyone working at the marina are very nice.
I hope they will open and continue employing the same folks.

Why do so many fires happen when it's below zero?
Very sad, that place must just be a big block of ice this morning.

Heading down the hill into town, you have to crane your head to the right to see where the fire was; behind a larger storage building. From a distance, it looks to me like the Meredith Fire department and their mutual aid partners did a great job controlling the fire.
