I'd love to own a couple sleds, but there just hasn't been enough snow these last years, and we don't have the time (or interest) to drive north enough to get to where there has been.

Have you seen the sporting section in 'for sale' in craigslist-nh. It has snomobile or snowmobile items like sno-mo helmets and sno-mo gear and you can price check your items against their listed items. Craigslist-nh has much stronger sell-ability.
