Smile American Pickers

Forgive my ignorance American Pickers?
As a former camper (1968-1970) now you know how old I am and perhaps why I am in the dark about American Pickers.
I always cruise by the "old Gurnsey island" (Idlewild dock area) but have not recognized boat brand (your boat) docked around the island.
Damned Donzis got to stick together!

Yes they are.

I met them a few years back at the Portsmouth Brewery, I believe they are friends with the owners.

Bet those guys would be great to sit, chat and have a beer with. It's amazing the stuff they pick out of all these junk piles, stuff I would think is worthless and they are paying at times big bucks for. The wealth of knowledge they have is pretty amazing, but I guess if you make your living picking like they do gotta know what is junk and what has value.

They bought an old motorcycle from my cousin a few weeks ago. Not on the tv show, she just contacted them on the side. Everyone she spoke with and the guy who came to pick it up were all nice and professional and they offered a fair price.

I like the fact that when they are picking, and someone asks for a price far below the items value, they stop and explain that it is worth far more and the counter with and more reasonable offer. I agree, would great to have a beer with them and listen to their stories.
