Default Good Luck To All Derby Doers!

The camp is stocked with food and drink, the boat is gassed up and my trolling batteries charged! I was even able to score a few dozen live smelt yesterday to troll with in case my spoons and flies fail to produce (all I have to do is keep them alive now ). I think half the fun of doing the derby is the preparation!!

Anyway, here is wishing all forum members taking part in this weekends Winni derby good luck!! I'll be monitoring channel 12 so give "Dan-308" a shout and let me know how your doing.

It's sure is looking like a beautiful weekend!!

Tight lines to all!!

Dan

Default Fishing Derby

Wow! T haven't seen anything in the papers. It was probably there, but I missed it. I checked this mornings Daily Sun and didn't find any mention of it there. It should have been in the headlines. I like to go over to the check in at the weirs and see those big fish being weighed and measured.

Default Bass boats

They better be careful buzzing around, the lake is full of debris due to the sudden rise of the lake level. It is as if ice out was yesterday!

Bay was almost crowded with boats trolling all day.
And yes it was a sweatshirt day all day with the wind.

I'll be out there tomorrow with my cousin, we're not entering into the derby, but we're still gonna be fishing. Good luck to you, should be a perfect weekend for fishing.

What day do they actually start these derbies? There were a lot of boats out there yesterday. Were they participating in the derby or just plain ol' fishin'?

They always run Friday to Sunday. People like to get up here on Thursday to get an early start Friday morning.

Thanks. That's what I thought, judging by the boats, but I wasn't sure. I have seen quite a few boats this morning.
