That’s news to me too. I don’t ever remember seeing marine patrol on that lake. Where did they launch from?

They probably received a report of someone having fun on the lake.

They launched at the bottom of the hill across from Shore Dr next to the red house where the bait shop was...…….there's a turn off and launching area there.

I know that area well. Do you think it was some kind of an emergency situation?

They launched a small boat at Glendale this morning for training. An officer had two trainees in the small boat learning to maneuver and dock the boat. I suspect that transport to small lakes along with boat launch and recovery is part of training for new recruits. Could be that is what was going on.

My "rule of thumb" is to expect to see them wherever I go. It makes no difference to me whether I see them or not since I have nothing to hide. I just have this feeling of an overwhelming presence of them every where I go in this state. Lakes, snowmobile trails, highways, byways, remote roads, hiking trails, etc,etc,etc... (Sadly), my father used to say that no matter how far from civilization you think you are, you are never any more than 10 feet away from an empty Budweiser can... That's kind of how I feel about Law enforcement in this state!!

Default All agencies...

Get involved in the show...

I've seen MP involved in drowning recoveries.

I used to live on a small lake. They'd show up midweek with 2-3 boats on the whole lake. Everyone would head home when he showed up because he always found as way to stop you. I got spoken too once for having my anchor light on without my anchor deployed. I was stopped and just sitting. It seemed like an anchor light moment to me😎.
