internet service
My internet only service bill from Breezeline has started to creep up, looking to change. We live in laconia and looking at changing to Xfinity, has anyone switched.

My Breezeline promotion expired, so I called Breezeline for another. They do not extend promotions. I switched to Xfinity to save money using their current promotion. If you use their 'local channels package', it is not the same as Breezeline. The Maine channels are missing.
Shortly after I canceled Breezeline, a gentleman from Breezeline's office paid a personal visit to discuss why I canceled. The main reason was cost. He took notes on my discussion with sales and why I switched to Xfinity. He will bring it up with management and hopefully, it will be different in the future. I did mention the pixeling of TV channels and buffering of streaming channels. He assured me they are upgrading their hardware to fiber network and equipment to better handle the traffic in the future. They will be reopening the field office in Belmont as the Laconia license is required. Hopefully, when the Xfinity promotion expires, Fidium will be available in my area. I will be shopping between three providers.

Been on Xfinity for close to two years. Internet only. It’s been fine. Promotion almost up. Will try starlink if they don’t extend the current rate which is $70 a month for 1gb

Are the Verizon Wireless or T-Mobile networks available for y'all?
A friend has had T-Mobile for five years at $50/mth. or something with great results, though it's not available at my address. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk |

Thought about it. Constantly getting two out of five bars. Should work, but they prioritize phone service over internet during busy season is what I was told. Unsure it would satisfy my needs

Why I Switched
One of the reasons I switched from Breezeline to Xfinity was the poor customer service - specifically tech support - and issues I was having with their Internet service that they seemed they didn't want to fix. It didn't help that they also closed their Belmont Customer Service office, something that violated the terms of their franchise agreement. Now you have the choice of going to Rochester or Concord if you need to talk with a human being face to face.
I haven't had any issues with Xfinity and if I've had questions I've been able to talk with their representatives in the Gilford office in the Walmart plaza. I have no idea where Fidium is available at the moment but I do know Consolidated (Fidium) is replacing all of their copper lines with fiber. Makes sense as copper can be expensive to maintain and it doesn't have the bandwidth of fiber. It also means they don't have to share their copper network with competitors if they no longer have a copper network to share. NHEC's New Hampshire Broadband isn't available in all of NHEC's footprint yet, but will be soon enough. |
