Default Crazy Gringo

Been going to "Gringos" for several years now and noticed in the last 3 visits a deterioration in the food and service.
Apparently they are short of help like so many others and the waitress was telling people sitting at tables they could not even take their order until they were finished with a group of 6 that had come in. For the third time in a row the food served to us, which we have ordered before, was just not up to what we have expected from this place.
We gave it three tries but now realize there is a problem at Gringo's and we will not eat there again. I nope they can fix "their" problem because Gringo's used to be one of our favorite places to go. Used to be!!

If you go back are read many of the restaurant threads this season you will see this is an ongoing issue for many establishments in the area and in fact has led to Faro Italian Grill not far from Gringo's to close early for the season due to lack of workers.

Food quality you can blame management but the help issue you really cannot. It's been a struggle and will more than likely continue to be an issue

Haven’t been there since it was “Nothin’ Fancy”
It was great back then...as in all things...”nothin’ lasts forever”

Default still good

Had lunch at the Gringo yesterday. Friendly attentive bartender, great margaritas and a yummy lunch. Must admit it was pretty quiet in there. Still got the old Fancy vibe.

Default Nothin' Fancy

I believe the owner Al Giguere died recently at Myrtle Beach. Has anyone able to find the obit?

Post Nothin' Fancy

Sad to hear.

A Great Restaurant takes a 24/7/365 commitment, even on days off.

Default Awesome......

We stopped in today for a mid afternoon lunch. The place was packed, the food was awesome! Just an FYI....Al is not the present owner of Crazy Gringos. He was the owner when is was Nothin’ Fancy and was a really nice guy. Have no info beyond that.

Default Positive visit

We visited the Gringo for a late lunch on Labor Day and it was crowded, the food was good and the service at the bar friendly and prompt. Positive experience overall.
