Default Aquapalooza 2010

OK so I played Div 1 college baseball in the south and one of my teammates is now a rising country rock star "matt stillwell" who just open for Brad Paisley at aquapalooza in TX. 4,000 boaters and 40,000 people turned out for the show at Lake Travis. My question is why not lake winni?? Would put a huge boost of cash into the lakes region check out the link with some video pretty cool kind of like braun bay on steroids .

Why not Winni? No rafting and way too many uptight people!

Wow! I haven't had beer do that to my nose, or computer screen, in a very long time.

Snipped out of my registration email confirmation.

Thank you for registering for AquaPalooza 2010 and helping us make on-water history. Details for your event can be found below. Please keep this message for your records. We'll see you on the water!

Event: Irwin Marine
Location: The Margate Resort on Lake Winnipesaukee
City, State: Laconia, New Hampshire
Date: July 24, 2010
Time: 12pm to 4pm
Dealership name: Irwin Marine

Since it's sponsored by Sea Ray, those that are in the Sea Ray owner's club (me) are tipped off to smaller local events. Pre-registration is required, obviously they can't have a total free for all down there.

I would imagine at the Margate it's a bit tamer

I get all of the Sea Ray emails, even though I don;t have a Sea Ray. Probably something I signed up for. All boat brands are allowed and welcomed at these events. I've heard the annual one is a very good time.

Irwin's has sponsored the Aquapalooza SeaRay party since the beginning of the event. They were doing customer appriciation events before SeaRay began the Country Wide Aquapalooza parties. They rented facillities on Welsh Island then moved to Beaver Island and last year it was at the Margate. They have done a great job but there is no way to get 40,000 at a Winni session!

Imagine all the fun stuff to find scattered about the bottom of the lake afterward. Hmmm...then again, it would be mostly Bud Light cans.

I didn't go to the Margate last year but past events on Welch and Beaver involved people going to the island. The food, drink and entertainment was there. So there should not be a big beer can or trash issue.

These were very tame events and involve Irwin and Searay giving back a little to their customers. Don't expect major music stars or wild rafting shenanigans.

Default Aquapalooza

I will be attending the Aquapalooza in Boston Harbor tomorrow (7/16/10). I'll post a review here after I go. If it's a good enough time, I might head up to Winni for the Irwin Marine event on the 24th.
